What we collect, what we don't, and why it matters.

What we collect

When you sign up and write, BECOME collects your name, email, and journal entries. We also automatically track basic usage data through PostHog analytics to help us understand how to improve the app.

How your data is used

Your journal entries are sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate AI reflections — this is essential to how BECOME works. Entries are stored securely in Supabase so you can access them anytime. Usage analytics help us improve features over time.

What we will never do

We do not sell your data. Ever. We do not use your entries to train AI models. Your writing is not shared with anyone beyond the services listed below.

Your control

You can access all your entries at any time. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data — we'll remove everything within 30 days. You can also request a complete copy of your data. Reach us at hello@becomeme.app and we'll respond within 30 days.

Security

All data travels encrypted via HTTPS. Row-level security means only you can access your entries. Google handles authentication — we never store your password.

Third-party services

Only five external services access your data: Supabase (storage), Anthropic (AI reflections), Google (sign-in), PostHog (analytics), and Resend (email reminders). No one else.

A note on age

BECOME is not designed for users under 18.
